Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe reveals he wants to work in music again
He came to the decision after taking part in tributes to David Bowie.
Five years after R.E.M.’s split, frontman Michael Stipe has revealed that he might be ready to start making music again.
Speaking to the New York Times, Stipe said that the decision came after he performed as part of two tributes to the late David Bowie. “I’m not ready to go completely into pop stardom again … but I want to work in music again,” he said. Stipe also revealed that he has produced Fischerspooner’s new album ‘SIR.’
His comments come just before the release of the 25th anniversary edition of ‘Out of Time,’ which is out this Friday (18th November).
