Mitski returns with 'Working For The Knife' • News • DIY Magazine

Three years on since the release of ‘Be The Cowboy’, Mitski is back with brand new track ‘Working for the Knife’.

“It’s about going from being a kid with a dream, to a grown up with a job, and feeling that somewhere along the way you got left behind,” Mitski explains. “It’s being confronted with a world that doesn’t seem to recognize your humanity, and seeing no way out of it.”

Accompanied by a stunning video filmed at The Egg in Albany, NY and directed by Zia Anger with Ashley Connor directing photography, ‘Working for the Knife’ also comes alongside the news that Mitski will be heading off on tour next year.
