Miya Folick takes a ride in the video for ‘Give It To Me’

She’s releasing her EP of the same name early next month.

A couple of weeks ago, Miya Folick returned with the news that she’d be releasing a brand new EP called ‘Give It To Me’ on 3rd November via Terrible Records – and that’s very good news indeed.

At the time, she also shared a haunting version of Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woodstock’. At the start of the newly-shared title track of the collection, you might think that she’s treading similarly stripped-back territory, but then it literally explodes with chunky riffs and an unbridled vocal performance from Miya herself.

In the accompanying video, Miya decides to take a ride on a roller coaster. While all is first quiet as she begins her ascent, the adrenaline of cascading down and twisting and turning kicks in just as the track does. It’s as much of a thrill ride as the song itself.

Last year we talked to Miya about “accidentally” coming into music and her work up until that point. Revisit the interview here.
