Miya Folick releases new track ‘Malibu Barbie’
It’s her first new material since debut album ‘Premonitions’.
Miya Folick has returned with new track ‘Malibu Barbie’.
The song marks the LA-based artist’s first new material since debut album ‘Premonitions’, released last year.
“‘Malibu Barbie’ is about my exploration of what being a woman means to me,” says Miya, “It’s a longing for an ideal. It’s realising that I can go to an extreme in pursuit of physical perfection, look around, and realize that I haven’t changed. I am still longing and seeking something more. Who I am is not a place at which I can arrive.”
Miya plays London’s All Points East this weekend (25th May), as well as festivals including Primavera Sound, Best Kept Secret and NOS Primavera Sound.
She also headlines the Borderline on 29th May.
