Muse score #1 album with ‘Drones’

Group have topped the charts for the fifth time.

Muse’s new album ‘Drones’ has gone straight to the top of the charts, scoring the group’s fifth #1 LP.

The new release sold 73,000 copies in its first week, landing ahead of last week’s chart-topper, Florence + The Machine’s ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’. Collabro, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith complete the top five.

Elsewhere in the Official Album Chart, Leftfield’s latest ‘Alternative Light Source’ entered at #6. Other notable new entries include Of Monsters & Men’s ‘Beneath the Skin’ (#10), FFS’ self-titled debut (#17) and Young Guns’ ‘Ones and Zeros’ album (#21).

In the Official Singles Chart, Jason Derulo’s ‘Want to Want Me’ topped the order for a third week running.

Muse will play Bilbao BBK Live (9th-11th July), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
