First things first
Muse to debut new single ‘Dead Inside’ tonight
The trio are set to reveal the second track from their forthcoming album ‘Drones’ this evening.
As the band draw their latest touring stint to a close, Muse are set to debut their new single ‘Dead Inside’ this evening.
Having already showcased the first track from ‘Drones’ - their unsurprisingly mental ‘Psycho’ - the trio’s first single will be aired on radio stations across the world this evening. The UK premiere will come during Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show tonight (Monday 23rd March).
The band’s new track doubles as the opener of their newest album, and, as frontman Matt Bellamy explains, “is where the story of the album begins.” He continues: “[It’s] where the protagonist loses hope and becomes ‘Dead Inside’, therefore vulnerable to the dark forces introduced in ‘Psycho’ and which ensue over the next few songs on the album, before eventually defecting, revolting and overcoming these dark forces later in the story.”
The band’s new album ‘Drones’ is set for release on 1st June and was co-produced by both the band and Robert John “Mutt” Lange. Its tracklisting is as follows.
1. Dead Inside
2. [Drill Sergeant]
3. Psycho
4. Mercy
5. Reapers
6. The Handler
7. [JFK]
8. Defector
9. Revolt
10. Aftermath
11. The Globalist
12. Drones
The band also play the final show of their recent tiny tour tonight (23rd March) at Brighton’s Dome.
Check back later today to hear Muse’s new single.
