My Chemical Romance Replace Blink 182 At Bamboozle
The New Jersey festival will now play host to the New Jersey five-piece.
Today it was announced that, due to illness in the Blink 182 camp, the three-piece have been forced to cancel their slot at this year’s Bamboozle Festival.
In their stead, however, will be the New Jersey titans My Chemical Romance, who are now set to appear before the Foo Fighters headlining stint.
This will all take place on Saturday 19th May.
The announcement came today on the Bamboozle website, stating the following: ‘The Bamboozle 2011 has revised its line-up for Saturday 19th May due to an emergency tonsillectomy for Travis Barker.
Blink 182 will be greatly missed and all of us at the Bamboozle extend our thoughts and best wishes to Travis for a speedy recovery.
However, we are pleased to announce My Chemical Romance, who will perform before the Foo Fighters on the main stage on Saturday 19th May.’
Other acts confirmed to play the festival include Skrillex, Incubus, Jimmy Eat World, Bon Jovi, Brand New, A$AP Rocky and Gaslight Anthem.
Bamboozle 2012 will take place at Asbury Park in New Jersey on the 18th, 19th and 20th May.
