Mykki Blanco shares ‘My Nene’ featuring Woodkid

Mykki Blanco is releasing his debut album ‘Mykki’ on Friday (16th September) via !K7. Even though there’s only a couple of days before it’s unveiled, to get us even more hyped up he’s shared new track, ‘My Nene.’ The song was shared as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Radio and features Woodkid. It also sees Mykki pulling off a pretty damn good Prince-like wail halfway through.

Mykki told The Fader: “’My Nene’ is one of those songs where I get to play with gender roles. As a queer artist, sometimes on a certain song I on purpose want to play with universal things […] ‘My Nene’ is one of those songs where I’m using words that could be applied affectionately to a man or a woman, and I’m doing it on purpose.”
