Neneh Cherry Announces New Four Tet-Produced Album
Cherry’s first album in 16 years comes produced by Kieran Hebden.
has announced her first album in 16 years. Produced by Four Tet, a new ‘collaboration’ with ROCKETNUMBERNINE will come out in early 2014.
The album was recorded in a period of five days. ‘It was a liberating experience, not endlessly trying to fiddle with the music, re-recording hundreds of times,’ reads a statement from Cherry in a press release.
Four Tet himself recently released ‘Beautiful Rewind’, backed up by his latest production role on Omar Souleyman’s ‘Wenu Wenu’.
The follow-up to the ‘Man’ comes after a career full of genre-bending hip-hop.
