New Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment track appears online

‘Sunday Candy’ will appear on forthcoming album ‘Surf’.

Chance The Rapper has further teased the arrival of ‘Surf’, a collaborative effort that involves Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale and Nate Fox (known as The Social Experiment) by premiering a new track entitled ‘Sunday Candy’.

In anticipation for the follow-up to his 2013 mixtape ‘Acid Rap’, Chance has recently adopted the trio as a backing band for his live shows.

Talking to The Fader, Donnie Trumpet (real name Nico Segal) explained the process behind the ‘Sunday Candy’’s conception and the Social Experiment project as a whole:

“This song specifically is a great representation of [The Social Experiment’s] collaborative efforts. It’s my curation, but then bringing it to the table with all these beautiful people and including them in their own way.”

The song itself is a delightful cacophony of jaunty keys and swelling brass, topped off by infectious vocal turns from Jamilia and some devastating rhyme from Chance himself.

Yet to be given an official release date, there have been several indications that ‘Surf’ will be available before the end of the year.
