New US festival Wrecking Ball launches

A new US festival has launched - with Desaparecidos, The Descendents, and Girlpool among the acts set to appear.

Wrecking Ball will take place in Atlanta, GA on 8th and 9th August, the festival set up to celebrate the 25th anniversary of cult local venue, The Masquerade (“long a fixture on the Atlanta musical landscape and destination point on the national touring scene”, as the festival describes it).

Further acts confirmed to play across the weekend are Coheed and Cambria (recently signed up to Jay Z’s Roc Nation, no less), Thrice, Title Fight, Glassjaw, Yuck and The Get Up Kids.

Tickets are on sale from Monday 6th April from 10am EDT.
