Nicolas Jaar announces new album ‘Cenizas’, out this month
Jaar has already released an LP under his Against All Logic moniker this year.
Nicolas Jaar is set to release a new album this month.
‘Cenizas’ will come out on 27th March via Jaar’s own label Other People.
The producer has already released a new album in 2020 – last month he shared ‘2017-2019’, the second album under his Against All Logic moniker.
Ahead of the release of ‘Cenizas’, Jaar has today shared new track ‘Sunder’, a short, down-tempo introduction to the record.
“new album under my birth name being announced today,” the producer said in an Instagram post.
‘Cenizas’ is the producer’s first album under his own name since 2016’s ‘Sirens’.
A four-star DIY review of ‘Sirens’ said: “Musically, ‘Sirens’ is up there with Jaar’s best work. The juddering, symphonic story telling of ‘Killing Time’ and ‘Three Sides of Nazareth’ sit perfectly with the more conventional side of Jaar’s craft, such as the melancholic yet blearily merry ‘History Lesson’.
“‘Sirens’, a record fans have been waiting over half a decade for, is undoubtedly a triumph.”
