Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds is 2015’s biggest selling artist (so far) on the Official Vinyl Charts

Noel Gallagher is the biggest selling artist of 2015 based on sales of albums and singles according to the Official Vinyl Chart.
Since launching the new chart in April 2015, Noel Gallagher’s ‘Chasing Yesterday’ has been the biggest selling vinyl album, which was released in March.
The Official Charts rundown of vinyl sales shows that UK acts dominate the top ten, with ‘Carrie & Lowell’ by Sufjan Stevens the only non-UK entry. Two Led Zeppelin albums are also featured while Blur’s ‘The Magic Whip’ lands in the top five. The Official Charts top ten vinyl albums are as follows:
1. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - ’Chasing Yesterday’
2. Led Zeppelin - ‘Physical Graffiti’
3. The Stones Roses - ‘Stone Roses’
4. Blur - ‘The Magic Whip’
5. Royal Blood - ‘Royal Blood’
6. Arctic Monkeys - ‘AM’
7. Pink Floyd - ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’
8. Led Zeppelin - ‘Four Symbols’
9. Sufjan Stevens - ‘Carrie & Lowell’
10. Public Service Broadcasting - ‘The Race For Space’
Noel Gallagher’s dominance of the top three singles comes in the shape of ’Riverman’, ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I’, and ‘The Dying Of The Light’. Blur land at number four with ‘Y’all Doomed’, while David Bowie’s Record Store Day re-release ‘Changes’ makes up the top five. The Official Charts top ten vinyl singles are as follows:

According to the BPI, demand for vinyl albums in 2015 has risen to a growth of 56.3%, with predictions that sales could pass 2 million by the end of the year. Read more over on The Official Charts website.
