OUTLYA get epic on new track ‘Howl’

The newcomers are also playing a headline show in London next month.

After storming forward with ‘Heaven’ earlier in the year, newcomers OUTLYA are back with another euphoric cut.

Latest single ‘Howl’ has been produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat (who’s worked with The Vaccines and Radiohead among others) and is yet another glorious, uplifting number. Punctuated by major key piano chords, sing-along “woahs” and one heck of a big hook, it’s set to propel OUTLYA even further towards the stratosphere (and might do the same for your mood if you’re feeling a bit down too).

Speaking about the new track, the band explain say: “Howl is a song about communication in the modern age. The feeling of euphoria when you hear a loved one’s voice down a distorted phone line and the transportive effect it can have on you from miles away. We ended up demoing the song 4 or 5 times, and the final version is an amalgamation of all of them”.

They continued: “In tandem with our wonderful producer Dan, we took what we thought were the best bits from each demo and pieced the song together, based around the 4/4 dance beat and a classic sounding upright piano. As a band we always try and combine the natural sounds of live instruments, like piano, guitar, bass and drums, with synthetic sounds seeping in, which in this song works especially well as a metaphor for human interaction through technology”.

OUTLYA are set to play a headline show at London’s Camden Assembly on 19th October. Tickets are on sale now.
