OUTLYA are explosive on new track ‘Volcano’

They’ve just released their EP of the same name too!

After taking a storming step forwards on ‘Heaven’ earlier in the year and getting epic on ‘Howl’ just last month, newcomers OUTLYA have released their explosive new EP, aptly titled ‘Volcano’.

The collection features ‘Howl’ as well as an OUTLYA Will remix of ‘Heaven’, and two more tracks, ‘The Light’ and the title, opening track, which also happens to be their new single. It bursts forth with euphoric highs and a sing-along hook that’s very likely to get lodged in your head.

Talking about the new single the band says: “Volcano is a song about teetering on the edge of something familiar instead of jumping into something new, and the conflicting feelings that arise from being in that place. We’ve had this song for a long time but never really gave it the chance it deserved; and after seeing the amazing response it got at our festivals this summer, we knew we had to record it.

“When we took the song to our producer Dan Grech we kept things simple and tried to recreate the euphoria we feel when we play it live. The song is built on these huge group vocals and thundering beats. Having the brass accompanying the bass line helped give the song something new for us sonically, that we hadn’t really experimented with before”.
