Pavement may possibly reunite to play Stephen Colbert’s Late Show
Bob Nastanovich says there’s a “50/50 chance” the group will appear on TV in September.
Pavement member Bob Nastanovich has stated that there’s a “50/50 chance” the group could reunite for Stephen Colbert’s Late Show.
Speaking on the Pants Off! Podcast, Nastonovich revealed that Pavement have been asked to perform on the show when Colbert takes the role from the recently retired David Letterman. Nastanovich says:
“If we can get it all together, we’ve been invited to play on the new Colbert show in like September. So that might be cool. Hopefully, it’ll come off, right now it seems kind of 50/50. I don’t even know what we’re gonna play or anything like that, but they invited us to do it a few weeks ago, and we’re trying to schedule it all out. Everyone else in my band, they’ve got kids and stuff.”
Pavement are set to release ‘The Secret History Vol. 1’, a collection of b-sides, Peel Sessions and unreleased tracks on 14th August via Domino.
