Petite Noir streams debut 'La Vie Est Belle/Life Is Beautiful'

Petite Noir’s debut album ‘La Vie Est Belle/Life Is Beautiful’ is streaming in full one week ahead of release. The first full-length from half-Angolan, half-Congolese Yannick Illunga comes out on 11th September via Domino.

It’s now streaming online via NPR, and can be heard in full below. Speaking about the record’s aesthetic, Illunga said that his debut specifically explores a “new African aesthetic. It’s very rooted but at the same time it’s just about having a free mind, and not closing your mind off to any type of music. It’s about freeing yourself and not just listening to one kind of music.”
