Poppy has shared her new single ‘Spit’, a cover of the 1999 song by London, Ontario nu-metal band Kittie.
The single is accompanied by a video, directed by Jim Louvau. Watch it below.
‘Spit’ follows Poppy’s recent single ‘Church Outfit’. The two songs mark the Los Angeles-based musicians first new music since 2022’s ‘Stagger’ EP.
In the last year, she has also played a sold-out headline show in London and completed a tour alongside The Smashing Pumpkins.
Poppy first established her reputation as a YouTuber in the mid-2010s, and in 2021 she won a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for her single ‘Bloodmoney’, a song from her third album, ‘I Disagree’.
She followed up that album with ‘Flux’ in 2021, and recently re-signed with Sumerian Records, the same label that released her last two records.
