Premiere: Listen: Deafkid Remix Fyfe’s ‘Conversations’

Released alongside his ‘Conversations’ EP - London crooner Paul Dixon aka Fyfe recruited a host of names to remix his latest, standout track.

Fryars, Summer Camp and Kullkid got involved and we’re delighted to share the EP’s closer, courtesy of production duo Deafkid.

How this one take doesn’t end up morphing into a wild, sprawling giant is beyond us. Hints of Fuck Buttons - synth stabs, head-spinning tribal patterns - circuit the scene. There’s even room for a cheeky slice of steel pan. Deafkid have thrown every available instrument from their jumbled studio into this. It makes for one of the most exciting, unanticipated takes on an original for yonks.
