Premiere: Listen: London Grammar Share New ‘Nightcall’ Joe Goddard Remix
Listen to the Hot Chip mastermind work his charm on a highlight from London Grammar’s ‘If You Wait’.

debut album ‘If You Wait’ is so big it’s gone GOLD, for crying out loud. Talk about making an impact. To think the trio only released their debut track a couple of days before Christmas 2012 seems ridiculous, reflecting on what’s been an incredible year that’s barely come close to finishing.
First up, before the year’s out: A new single. Their cover of Kavinsky’s ‘Nightcall’ is out on 8th December. Rather than steering down the same ‘Drive’ soundtrack route, they weave it into an affecting ballad, in keeping with the rest of their stunning debut.
Joe Goddard’s gone one step further. The Hot Chip busy-bod - fresh from releasing his ‘Taking Over’ EP on Greco-Roman - has spun his expansive electronic charms for a new remix of ‘Nightcall’. It’s all about the last two minutes, with sinister synths clashing head-to-head with scatterbrained percussion.
DIY’s delighted to have the premiere. Listen below.
