Premiere: Listen: MØ Unveils Three New ‘XXX 88’ Remixes

Diplo-produced ‘XXX 88’ is an excitable giant, featuring all the staples of Karen Marie Ørsted’s music - bold synth horns, chanted vocals - and coupling it up with a fully-charged burst of energy. It’s the kind of track that has a million things going on at once - a remixer’s dream come true, essentially.

‘XXX 88’ has had producers queueing up to give their own take on the original. DIY’s delighted to be offering out a first listen to new interpretations from Kilter, Dreamtrak and Nonsens.

Kilter’s remix hones in at the track’s steel horns, adding in some disco-ready pads for good measure. Dreamtrak’s is an all-out house effort, giving the original a dark, seedy undercurrent. Nonsens’ take is a less structure, more sparsely laid-out number, making the most out of some trusty trap drums.
