Premiere: Listen: Relics Unveil ‘Nothing Left To Lose’ Track

Seeing London group Relics close out the final of our ‘Hello 2014’ showcases was a bittersweet moment. In one sense, there couldn’t have been a more fitting finish; a thrashing, united sound giving glimpses of very brings things indeed. On the other, the whole thing had to bloody finish, didn’t it? Relics suggest a permanence in their heady recordings, which is a little misleading but we’ll forgive them.

New song ‘Nothing Left to Lose’ links up with debut ‘Ease’, which first featured back in a Neu Bulletin. This track goes more gung-ho in its intentions, proggy leanings fleshing out into a 5 minute juggernaut of a song. There’s nothing overbearing or showy about this though - temptations to over-do it are sweetly shunned. Here’s a band who know their limit; handy, because ‘Nothing Left To Lose’ could play on for hours on end.
