Premiere: Watch: Cash + David Unveil ‘Funn’ Video
In this debut video, David Bowie and Johnny Cash impersonators go head-to-head in explosion scenes.

is a strutting, confident beast of a song. It circuits the kind of snappy synth pop Phantogram have so recently mastered, but there’s also a cautious aching backdrop to it all. Vocals don’t so much pierce the surface as gently introduce themselves. At the heart of it all, though, is a complete frenzy.
It’s a spirited debut that’s matched up to a T in a new video, which we’re delighted to be premiering. The controlled chaos of the song is channelled into a dance-off. Its stars? Johnny Cash and David Bowie lookalikes, naturally. That explains the name, then. As the video plays out, the two impersonators get more aggressive, more interlocked. Two celebrated musicians combine in explosive effect. Watching it has a strange effect - it’s almost like peering backstage at a Grammy Awards held 20 years back when all the nominees really, really cared about winning. Things get ugly.
