Pulp offer up latest ‘HELP(2)’ preview, ‘Begging For Change’
It joins recent singles from Arctic Monkeys, Damon Albarn, and The Last Dinner Party to be the fourth track lifted from War Child’s new charity record.

Indie titans Pulp are back with a brand new single, written especially for War Child Record’s forthcoming charity compilation album, ‘HELP(2)’.
Entitled ‘Begging For Change’, the track finds Jarvis Cocker and co. at their most urgent, its propulsive momentum bolstered by an anthemic, spelled-out chorus that’s become something of a signature for the band.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios and produced by James Ford, ‘Begging For Change’ also features the same children’s choir who sang on ‘Flags’, the recent collaboration between Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten, and Kae Tempest. In addition to ‘Flags’, ‘HELP(2)’ has so far been previewed by way of ‘Opening Night’ - Arctic Monkeys’ first release in four years - and The Last Dinner Party’s ‘Let’s Do It Again!’, which landed on Monday.
Due for release on 6th March, ‘HELP(2)’ will be the spiritual successor to the original 1995 ‘HELP’ LP, which was shortlisted alongside Pulp’s seminal ‘Different Class’ for the following year’s Mercury Prize - which the Sheffield outfit went on to win. As Jarvis has explained: “Thirty years ago we gave our Mercury Prize (and the prize money) to War Child. This year we have given more. How much more? You’ll have to wait and see…”
Featuring a stunning lineup of contributors including Big Thief, English Teacher, Arlo Parks, Cameron Winter, Ezra Collective, Olivia Rodrigo and many more, ‘HELP(2)’ will raise funds for War Child’s vital work supporting children affected by conflict.
