Update:
Radiohead announce venue change for Manchester Arena show
The band will now play one show at the city’s Old Trafford cricket ground.
Radiohead were set to play two shows at the Manchester Arena early next month, and have had to announce a change of venue following the recent terrorist attack at the show.
The band will now perform one show at the Old Trafford cricket ground instead on 4th July, the venue where Ariana Grande held her One Love Manchester event, raising money for the victims of the attack at her show at the Arena last month.
A press release says: “The news follows last month’s tragic incident at Manchester Arena and its subsequent temporary closure, which left the venue with no option other than to cancel Radiohead’s forthcoming concerts on Tuesday 4th & Wednesday 5th July.
“The group apologise to fans for any inconvenience.”Radiohead are set to headline this year’s Glastonbury next week on the back of last year’s ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ LP, topping the Pyramid Stage bill on Friday 23rd June.
