Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien is working on a solo album

Thom Yorke’s done it, Jonny Greenwood’s done it and recently Philip Selway also did it by announcing the release of his soundtrack to ‘Let Me Go’ in August. Now, Ed O’Brien is looking to be the latest Radiohead member to go solo.

As reported by Pitchfork, Ed was talking to Esquire and revealed that he’d been working with producers Flood and Catherine Marks on his debut solo album. He also enlisted Omar Hakim (drummer on David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’), The Invisible’s Dave Okumu and Nathan East for his band over a three-week recording period. Ed said: “The idea is to have [the album] finished by this summer”.

Also in the interview, Ed said that Radiohead are looking to build on their huge year of touring with even more dates in 2018.
