Radiohead share Radiohead Public Library
The new online site contains a highly curated and organised archive of the band’s catalogue.
The internet is a dark and chaotic place, but the lovely lads at Radiohead have decided to bring a little bit of order to the chaos.
Announcing the Radiohead Public Library - “an online resource containing videos, music, artwork, websites, merchandise, and assorted ephemera” - fans can create their own Membership Card, which allows access to loads of Radiohead goodies that were previously strewn across the internet.
Loosely arranged by album, the online platform contains: “detailed artwork, official videos, and ad-free HD live and TV performances, B-Sides and compilation tracks, previously out-of-print merchandise to be custom made on demand, band members’ ‘office chart’ playlists from around the time of ‘In Rainbows’, ‘The King of Limbs’ and ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ recording sessions, and more.”
To celebrate the opening of the Library, each band member is also taking a turn as “librarian”, curating their own selection of archived material. Nice that, init?
