Reading 2011: And So I Watch You From Afar Pop Their Reading Cherries

Bassist Johnny Adger tells us it’s the first time for the band.

Not long before they played their first ever Reading Festival set yesterday (Saturday 27th August), DIY had a sit down with And So I Watch You From Afar.

‘It’s our first time playing and it’s also my first time being here,’ bassist Johnny Adger told us. ‘We’re dead excited about playing and experiencing it for ourselves but there are so many bands playing that between the four of us we want to see.

‘When we arrived, Mariachi El Bronx were playing and we bailed out of the van and legged it around to catch some of the set at the edge of the stage. It was unbelievable. We’re just stoked to be here.’

And So I Watch You From Afar will play Leeds Festival today (Sunday 28th August) on the Festival Republic Stage at 8pm. Check back for the full interview later in the week.
