Róisín Murphy releases latest single ‘You Knew’, with DJ Koze on production
The track has also been remixed by Payfone and Eli Escobar, giving fans a choice of different versions to dive into.
‘You Knew’ is the latest single from Róisín Murphy and DJ Koze - a kaleidoscopic, synth-laden ode to unrequited love. It arrives ahead of her forthcoming new album, ‘Hit Parade’ (out 8th September via Ninja Tune), and follows recent releases ‘Fader’, ‘The Universe’, and ‘CooCool’.
Sharing her feelings on the track, Róisín comments “‘You Knew’ is the story of my life. I’m an open book, I put myself on the line and I make my motivations obvious. Many times, I have bravely loved and not been loved in return, and I’m proud of that. That phrase ‘You Knew’ just sums it all up. In fact you could put it on my headstone, except I’ve already decided it’ll say… ‘You Had Your Chance!’.”
She’s also shared two club remixes of ‘You Knew’ from Payfone and Eli Escobar, as well as announcing the launch of a Boiler Room stream shot in Paris earlier this year.
Róisín Murphy will play Alexandra Palace - her biggest London show to date in February 2024; get tickets here.
