Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever announce debut album ‘Hope Downs’

The album - out in June via Sub Pop - is being previewed with lead single ‘Talking Straight’.

Australian surf punks Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever have announced their debut album! ‘Hope Downs’ is coming out on 15th June via Sub Pop, and being previewed by first track ‘Talking Straight’.

Talking about the track in a press release, the band’s Joe White says: “The concept came about when I heard someone talking about the possibility of us, humans, being alone in the universe, and how sad that would be.

“The idea in this song is that we might be lonely, but we could be lonely together.”

The band are set to play a handful of UK shows next month around their appearance at The Great Escape in Brighton. View those dates below, alongside the tracklisting for ‘Hope Downs’, which rivals that of a certain Arctic Monkeys for our newly created Best Tracklisting Of The Month award. ‘An Air Conditioned Man’? ‘Cappucino City’?
