Roxy Girls return with ‘Like A Buoy’

The track features on their forthcoming EP, ‘Roxy Girls Are In The Drink’.

Following the release of their ‘A Wealth Of Information’ EP last summer, Sunderland post-punk four-piece Roxy Girls are back with new track ‘Like A Buoy’.

Lifted from brand new EP ‘Roxy Girls Are In The Drink’, which is due on 27th August on Moshi Moshi Records, frontman Tom Hawick says of the track, “months of mindless swiping culminate in the odd date. Some are an awkward waste of time and some result in two years of not being able to decide what to have for tea. I’m glad I didn’t pay for Tinder gold.”

Continuing on the new EP, he adds, “After being sat in front of the tv for much of the last year, the lines between reality and entertainment started to blur, influencing portions of the EP’s lyrical content. ‘In the drink’ came from countless episodes of Takeshi’s castle and ‘My new home’ after too many grand designs.”
