Run The Jewels share video for ‘Early’
Animated clip features protest imagery echoing American police brutality and arrests.

Run The Jewels have aired a new video for ‘Early’, the BOOTS collaboration featured on their recent album ‘Run The Jewels 2’.
El-P shared the clip on Twitter yesterday afternoon (Friday 15th May), stating that he and Killer Mike “have been waiting for the right time to drop this. then we realized that it is (sadly) always the right time,” with reference to the group’s vocal stance against police brutality cases in America.
Created by Bug & Sluzzy, the animated clip features protest imagery and police arrests, serving as a continuum of Run The Jewels’ politically-charged ‘Close Your Eyes and Count To Fuck’ video from March.
Meanwhile, Killer Mike has just appeared on HBO’s ‘Real Time With Bill Maher’ to discuss race relations in Baltimore, following the death of Freddie Gray in the city. Watch the video for ‘Early’ below.
Run The Jewels will play Field Day (6th - 7th June), where DIY is an official media partner. Tickets are on sale now. Visit diymag.com/presents for more information.
