Run the Jewels were attacked onstage at SXSW
Outdoor performance took place at the fest’s Spotify House.
On the Monday of this year’s SXSW Festival, Run the Jewels were attacked on stage midway through a performance at Spotify House.
Killer Mike and El-P came into confrontation with a person running on stage - first he goes for Mike, then he turns his attention to El-P, before being warded off stage by bouncers and both members of the group. Post-invasion, footage shows the individual being punched by security, with Killer Mike starting a “fuck boy” chant.
El-P went onto address the situation post-performance, saying “sorry for the brief interruption” on Twitter.
