Ryn Weaver confirms UK release of debut album ‘The Fool,’ shares title track
Due in the UK on August 7th, ‘The Fool’ is co-produced by Benny Blanco and Passion Pit mastermind Michael Angelakos.
Ryn Weaver has confirmed the UK release of her debut album, ‘The Fool’. It’s set to come out on 7th August via Mad Love/Virgin EMI, and it’s co-produced by Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos and pop super-force Benny Blanco. Her debut will feature ‘OctaHate’, taken from Ryn’s 2014 EP ‘Promises’.
Today Ryn Weaver has also shared the title track. Twinkling with chiming flourishes, and peppered by stuttering vocal manipulations, the production influence of Angelakos is clear, as well as Weaver’s growing impact as a songwriter. “I’m a fool for, I’m a fool for you,” she sings over a surging wash of synths, all jostling for space. Suddenly the wall drops like a tablecloth being quickly whipped out from under a full table of plates, leaving sparse guitars to echo round the empty spaces.
