Ryn Weaver shares soaring new track ‘Promises’

21-year-old NYC via LA newcomer makes “fast rising” sound like an understatement.

NYC via LA pop newcomer Ryn Weaver has shared her second track to date, ‘Promises’.

The follow-up to debut ‘OctaHate’ (produced by Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Passion Pit’s Michael Angelakos Charli XCX) is leading on from over 1 million plays, but it shuns pressure in furthering its predecessor’s giddy, ultra-playful take on things.

It’s taken from a forthcoming EP on Benny Blanco’s new imprint Friends Keep Secrets. A mix of muted guitar notes and high-pitched major keys, it’s all built around the kind of soaring chorus that’d knock just about any chart-topper off its perch, given its dues.

‘Promises’ can be heard below.
