The Speedy Ortiz ringleader is streaming her solo pop effort in full.
Slated for release on 11th November, ‘Slugger’ is the debut solo album from Speedy Ortiz ringleader Sadie Dupuis. Taking her cutting ear for melody in a far poppier direction, her Sad13 moniker celebrates consent, communication, and gigantic synth-lines in a confetti-burst of fun. It’s as brill as it sounds on paper.
So far Sad13 has previewed ‘Slugger’ with ‘Devil in U,’ ‘ and ‘Get a Yes’. Now - because she’s ace like that - Sadie Dupuis is streaming the whole bloody thing on NPR, in full.
Sad13 appears in the November issue of DIY (out tomorrow, 4th November), where she lifts the lid on her new solo project in an interview.
