Sälen share ‘I Am Champagne’ and ‘I’m In Love With My Best Friend’

A few weeks back, Sälen forced us to stop everything we were doing and take notice as they took on an ultimate pop classic – Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ (and it was everything you’d hoped it’d be).

Now, they’ve announced plans to release a short film called ‘Zebedy’s Cult’ and a new EP next month – hurrah! Ahead of the dual release, the trio have gifted us with not just one but two sparkling new tracks! ‘I Am Champagne’ builds on a glassy melody and morphs between it and a bassy beat seamlessly. Meanwhile, ‘I’m In Love With My Best Friend’ is similarly propulsive but treads a slightly darker path, as the repeated line “lie to me” hangs in the air.
