Sam Fender announces new album ‘People Watching’
The North Shields singer’s new album arrives in February 2025.

The wait is over: we’ve got new music from Sam Fender. The indie star has just shared the lead single and title track of his upcoming third album ‘People Watching’ - his first new solo release since 2022’s standalone track ‘Wild Grey Ocean’.
As anthemic and emotionally resonant as we’ve come to expect from the North Shields lad, ‘People Watching’ is a Springsteen-esque, moving homage to Sam’s late friend and mentor Annie Orwin, inspired by his visits to her palliative care home near the end of her life.
Due out on 21st February 2025 via Polydor Records, the highly-anticipated LP was produced by Sam himself - alongside his bandmates Dean Thompson and Joe Atkinson - in collaboration with Markus Dravs and The War On Drugs’ Adam Granduciel. It will act as the much anticipated follow up to 2021’s ‘Seventeen Going Under’, and promises to be a character-driven exploration of the beauty of the everyday.
The news arrives in the wake of Sam’s recent surprise UK/Ireland tour announcement - tickets for which sold out in under an hour - which will see him play a triumphant run of arena shows next month supported by Wunderhorse.
