Say Lou Lou take to the desert for ‘Nothing But A Heartbeat’ video

Say Lou Lou know how to celebrate an album release - with ‘Lucid Dreaming’ out this week, the Swedish sisters have taken to the most epic, high-budget video imaginable, sending them to the desert, desolate woods, grimy car parks and beyond.

It’s essentially a gigantic 3-hour movie compressed into eight minutes. A bit like Boyhood, if all you had were the actual important bits.

Joanna Nordahl directs the short film, which is said to take influence from Lars Von Trier’s fucked up apocalypse-fest ‘Melancholia’ and Virginia Woolf’s ‘On Being III’.

“Dreams are a way for human minds to digest their memories, and this film is sort of a digestion of our experiences of these past years as Say Lou Lou,” says the band.

The duo play London Heaven on 8th April, with debut album ‘Lucid Dreaming’ out now on A Deux / Cosmos Music.
