SBTRKT debuts new track featuring Warpaint in BBC Maida Vale session

Ahead of this weekend’s Reading & Leeds festival, Radio 1’s Zane Lowe brought in a series of guests to perform Maida Vale sessions for the BBC.

First on the bill was SBTRKT, who brought with him regular collaborator and Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig to perform tracks from his ‘Wonder Where We Land’ LP. The latter joined in on a rendition of ‘New Dorp New York’, while Sampha guested on ‘Temporary View’.

During the Maida Vale session, SBTRKT also aired ‘War Drums’, a track featuring Warpaint that plays out as a bonus cut on the producer’s second record.

‘Wonder Where We Land’ comes out 23rd September on Young Turks. SBTRKT, Warpaint and Vampire Weekend all play Reading & Leeds this weekend, 22nd-24th August.
