SBTRKT unveils new single ‘Days Go By’ featuring Toro Y Moi
The song gets taken from the forthcoming album ‘The Rat Road’.
SBTRKT has released a brand new single, ‘Days Go By’, featuring Toro Y Moi.
It follows on from the recent announcement of SBTRKT’s fourth studio album, which will be titled ‘The Rat Road’ and released 5th May via AWAL Recordings. SBTRKT had previously shared the album’s lead single, ‘Waiting’, featuring Teezo Touchdown.
Speaking about ‘Days Go By’, SBTRKT had this to say: “I first met Chaz [Toro Y Moi] back in 2012 when we were both playing on a festival tour around Australia. It wasn’t until 2018 that I got around to saying ‘what’s up’ again and made a trip out to Oakland to hang and make some tunes. We reconnected a bunch more times over a couple of years — in London and on another trip to Paris — which was something that made sense with the track’s influences and turned the song into this weird international collaboration! Once the pandemic hit, I had to sit on the music for quite a while, but the timing feels right and I’m happy that it’s out in the world now!”
SBTRKT has also announced a string of live shows, including his first headline show in London in 9 years. Tickets for that date go on sale on 12th April at 10am.
