September Girls share video for ‘Veneer’
The song is the title track on the Dublin band’s forthcoming EP.

Dublin quintet September Girls are to release a new EP next month. Titled ‘Veneer’, the four-track record follows January’s debut album, ‘Cursing The Sea’, and will be out on 24th November via Fortuna POP!.
Each track on the release - ‘Veneer’, ‘Black Oil’, ‘Melatonin’, ‘Butterflies’, was written and sung by a different member of the band - Caoimhe, Paula, Jessie, and Lauren respectively.
The band - who also head over to New York next week for CMJ - have shared a video for the EP’s title track.
Of the song, Caoimhe says: “‘Veneer’ was written to stand up to the force that stifles creativity and expression. Like a critical voice in your head that tells you you’re not good enough, it leaves you feeling empty and useless. “Seductive veneer” refers to the easy option, which is quitting. I think the message of the song is to ignore that voice and do it anyway.”
Watch the video, as directed by Jessie, art directed by Caoimhe and developed by the whole band, below.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
