Big Truck announce debut album ‘Midday At The Middleway’
The band - formed by SOFT PLAY’s Laurie Vincent and Lady Bird’s Sam Coppin - will drop their first LP in August.

Big Truck - the new project fronted by SOFT PLAY’s Laurie Vincent - have shared the news that their debut full-length, ‘Midday At The Middleway’, will be arriving on 28th August via Marshall Records.
Having introduced themselves by way of inaugural single ‘Central Reservation Blues’ back in April, the band (completed by Sam Coppin of Lady Bird, as well as Asa Thallon and Justin Myles) have now officially launched their first record with new single ‘Collided’, a metamorphic, immediately compelling cut that Laurie has described as “one of my favourite songs on the record”.
Continuing, the SOFT PLAY guitarist (who also releases solo material under Larry Pink The Human) has explained: “My musicianship is quite untrained, and I didn’t even realise I was writing it in 6/8 time. That’s the kind of stuff that’s been allowed to shine on this record, because it’s a full band and Sam’s jazz background helps those moments to work.”
Sam, for his part, has noted: “‘Collided’ has this quality that I think is a snapshot into how good Laurie is. It scratches the surface of what he is going to reveal as a result of this project.”
