Shoes And Socks Off Confirms Fifth Album Release

‘Miles Of Mad Water’ is set for release on the 14th May through Big Scary Monsters.

Shoes And Socks Off - the solo project of ex-Meet Me in St. Louis frontman Toby Hayes - has announced the release of his fifth album.

‘Miles Of Mad Water’ is set for release on the 14th May through Big Scary Monsters, and the album features a blend of both solo acoustic offerings and full band recordings.

Commenting on his latest release, Hayes says: “I demoed all the songs while on tour with Tubelord a year ago. They were all straight up and acoustic, like the other records, and I managed to record each demo in a different country. When I got back, I began getting them onto a computer to develop them. I just wanted to pull them apart, completely take them to pieces, so that all that was left was the melody, the lyrics and the tempo, then from that, build it back up. Drums, programming, guitars, samples, anything I wanted.”

He will also be embarking upon a UK tour, supporting Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly, throughout May in support of the release. Check him out at:
