Soak announces new single, ‘B a noBody’

Irish songwriter’s signed to Rough Trade, following a start on CHVRCHES’ own label.

Bridie Monds-Watson’s first Soak single, ‘Blud’, came out on CHVRCHES’ own Goodbye Records, eventually landing the 18-year-old a big deal with Rough Trade.

This is her first single since signing with the label - ‘B a noBody’. This time round, the Derry-Londonberry musician brings dramatic marching drums to her softly-softly acoustic approach, but it’s the Irish dialect that pierces through again. Everything’s built around the soaring, sure-to-be-sung-back-by-thousands refrain of “c’mon, c’mon.” No doubt about it - this ought to be a massive hit, if it’s given its due rewards.

‘B a noBody’ is out as a 7” on 3rd November via Rough Trade. Pre-order here.
