Sprints drop charged single ‘Descartes’ and share news of second album ’All That Is Over’
The Irish four-piece are back with new music - and it was worth the wait!

Sprints are back! The band have announced that they will be releasing their second album, ‘All That Is Over’ on 26th September via City Slang.
Alongside the album announcement the band have dropped a charged new track, ‘Descartes’ which is accompanied by a video showing the band performing the in an abandoned house.
“Descartes was written on a plane while reading Outline by Rachel Cusk,” explains lead vocalist Karla Chubb on the new single. “Sparked directly from the line “Vanity is the curse of our culture”, the rest of the song spilled out of me quite instantaneously.”
“Descartes explores the idea of needing to write and create as a means of survival, not just a means of expression, and how important that is to me as a person to try to understand and process the world around me,” she adds.

Sprints: Forged Through Fire
For over 18 months now, Sprints have barely paused for breath. The success of their 2024 debut album saw them play stages from Brooklyn to Berlin but, closer to home, the ground was shifting beneath them.
