Swim Deep’s Austin Williams shares Ginger track, ‘Black Boys On Mopeds’
Frontman covers Sinead O’Connor for his first solo track.
Swim Deep frontman Austin Williams has shared a solo track under the moniker Ginger.
‘Black Boys on Mopeds’ is a cover of the Sinead O’Connor original. Released back in 1990, many of its lyrics still hold true: “England’s not the mythical land of Madame George and roses / It’s the home of police who kill black boys on mopeds.”
An accompanying video shows Ozzy in a tinsel and fairy lights-filled room, taking drags of a cigarette between takes.
Swim Deep’s most recent album, ‘Mothers’, came out last year.
