Swimming Girls conjure up another indie banger on ‘Beneath You’
The Bristol band are currently on a UK tour in support of Pale Waves.
Bristol’s Swimming Girls are currently touring the UK in support of Pale Waves, and have now shared new track ‘Beneath You’, the kind of which Heather Baron-Gracie and co would be proud.
Harbouring a simply huge, shimmering chorus, ‘Beneath You’ places its cards on the table immediately, drowning sorrow in reverb and gorgeous, chiming guitars that take the track’s lyrical meaning - “the relationship anxiety that comes with not knowing where you stand with someone” - and turns it into a powerful mission statement, and a determination to work it out.
The band’s tour with Pale Waves continues tomorrow night (5th October) in Belfast, before they play Cork, Limerick and Dublin, and see out October with three UK headline shows.
View the dates and listen to ‘Beneath You’ below.
