Swimming Tapes have a kaleidoscopic new video for ‘Tides’

Swimming Tapes released their glistening dream pop single ‘Tides’ in September and now it’s got a suitably woozy video to match.

While your usual “band performing in a room” clip can be a little bit boring, Swimming Tapes have turned it into a kaleidoscopic spectacle, where everything is shot in hypnotic slow motion just to add to the track’s lilting vibes.

The band said that the track captures how “some memories are perfected by the passing of time, become dreamlike, intensified by the imagination.” This video definitely enhances that. Plus we actually get to see Louis Price stepping up to the mic for the first time. Nice job, Louis.

Swimming Tapes are also playing at a totally free Hello 2017 gig at The Old Blue Last in London on 10th January! You can RSVP on Facebook here.
