T in the Park given go-ahead for 2015 at Strathallan Castle

After initial doubts, T in the Park has been given the official go-ahead to take place at its new location of Strathallan Castle.

The new location was disputed by objectors who claimed the new location harmed an endangered species, Ospreys.

However after a 90-minute meeting, Perth and Kinross councillors announced a unanimous decision to give T in the Park a licence at Strathallan Castle until at least 2017.

Geoff Ellis, head of DF Concerts, said he was anticipating a “fantastic” first year at the new location.

T in the Park 2015 runs from 10th-12th July, with Kasabian, The Libertines and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds all headlining.
